{ The Black Tongued Bells – “Every Tongue Has A Tale To Tell” }

CD CREDITS: The Black Tongued Bells are seasoned musicians who have been together twelve years with the same original members. When we decided to record “Every Tongue Has A Tale To Tell”, many of our musician friends wanted to be part of the project, so we took them up on their offers.

You may recognize some our guests: Phil Jones (Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Randy Newman, Bob Dylan, Cracker, Neil Young, Roy Orbison, Joe Walsh, JD Souther) Phil played congas and percussion, Wyman Reese (Walter Trout, Dave Alvin, Rick Shea) plays keyboards along with John Harrelson, subject of “Dead Man Rockin’”, a documentary of his music career. Danny Ott, who has played with everyone from Walter Trout, Dave Alvin to Gregg Allman, added his guitar prowess. Trombone and saxophone were provided by John McKnight (Fishbone) and “King” Roger Ehrnman, respectively. Bill Barrett, chromatic harmonica whiz (Nels Cline, Natalie Merchant) joined us as well.

We also want to recognize the recording engineers that helped launch Every Tongue Has A Tale To Tell; Jon Crawford, Owner and Recording Engineer at Interstellar Recording Studio in Upland, CA., Walter Clevenger, Owner and Recording Engineer, Costa Mesa, CA., and lastly, Earle Mankey, Owner and Recording Engineer of Earle Mankey Recording Studio in Thousand Oaks, CA. (Earle Mankey has also produced and/or was the recording engineer for the following artists; Elton John- Blue Moves, The Beach Boys – Love You & M.I.U. albums, Concrete Blonde, El Vez, Marty Grebb, Sparks, The Dickies, The Runaways, Walter Egan.
